The Forney EDC during its regular meeting on June 12, 2014 approved a financial incentive for Mama's Daughters Diner Forney of $35,900; reviewed a preliminary budget presented by City Manager Brooks; held executive session

City Council approved: early payment on a portion of "Pass-Through Toll Revenue and Limited Tax Bonds, Series 2008";a Resolution to allow for enforcement of the amended watering restrictions; a contract with Pacheco Koch Consulting Engineers, Inc., for the Trinity Street construction design; heard from Les Reynolds, who had suggestions RE: the 140th event; Held a lengthy review of the preliminary Strategic Plan.

The Forney City Council presented Fallen Hero Day Proclamations, Certificate of Appreciation for Military Service – Robert Curtis Benford II; terminated a construction contract; adopted new fees for building permits, extended agreements for Zanatas (but not for Groovy's), made preparations to issue $5 million in CO's.
