Forney appoints Michael Grace as new EDC Director
The City of Forney announced that Michael Grace will serve as the city’s next Director of Economic Development.
The City of Forney is proud to announce the appointment of Michael Grace as the new Director of Economic Development. With over 20 years of experience in municipal planning and development, Michael brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to this role.
A Dallas native, Michael holds a Master of Arts in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Oklahoma. His career includes serving as Assistant City Manager & Chief Operations Officer and Chief Economic Development Officer for the City of Ferris, TX, Managing Principal of Metro Development Consulting, Director of Unincorporated Area Services for Dallas County, and Director of Development Services for the Cities of Lancaster and Willow Park, TX, among other significant roles in both the public and private sectors.
Michael is also certified by the American Institute of Certified Planners and is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma’s Economic Development Institute. Additionally, Michael serves on various committees and regional boards.
City Manager Charles Daniels expressed his enthusiasm for the new appointment, stating, "We are excited to welcome Michael to the City of Forney. His extensive experience will be invaluable in driving the city’s growth and supporting our mission to build a thriving community."
